There's lot of tips, books, articles and videos online that list the things that anyone who wishes to be successful at life should be doing. I've written enough of them myself! Wouldn't it be great if we could get rid of all the '7 Tips To Success' and '12 Steps To Greatness' articles and actually come across something that told you the one thing that you should be doing to achieve greatness and all your dreams and goals? Well there is.

A top-secret, 'not so secret', secret. Interested?

So, I hear you ask, what is the secret ingredient? The magic bullet to it all?

The secret of all secrets is... Taking Responsibility.

Sounds simple don't it?

Your choice now, respond with a Bah Humbug and move on or read on with an open mind.

Taking responsibility for every part of your own life, right now is like getting the keys to the magic kingdom.

It's not your bosses fault. It's not the economy's fault. It's not your spouses' fault or your kids, lack of kids, lack of job, lack of ideas or the weathers' fault. Everything in your life that you are experiencing right now comes straight back to the choices that you have made leading up to this point.

But wait I hear you cry, there are things that have happened to me that were not my fault. Absolutely true. There are external forces that will impact your life in many ways. Some profoundly so. The choice that you have to make with these is whether you will give them the power to continue to influence your life or if you will acknowledge them and let them go. We all have heart break in our lives and sorrow. Bad things do happen to good people. It's called life. The power that we have is whether we allow these outside influences to continue to control our lives or whether we decide that we are in control of our own lives. Our own thoughts. Our own actions.

Once we all realise that we control our own lives, fully control our own lives and take full responsibility for our own thoughts, actions and words, that's when we will realise our own potential.

Nothing in this life can stop you from getting what you want if you stand up and take responsibility for not having it and then taking on the full responsibility of taking every action that you need to make it happen.
