Silent Suffering

Stop considering Depression as a hoax and let's be lucid enough to take a voluntary affirmative action in this regard. What the society/ people will think? The need of the hour is to sham this false perception and be an iron - clad in dealing with this emotional barrier. A lousy ratio on this planet today has been exposed to suicidal attempts, debacles in life, feel desolated in this hustle bustle. Some of them even have been a victim of sexual predation, broken relationships, Bad marriage, divorce, and the list is endless. All of these have contributed to this faux pas. We need to stop faffing around and pull up our socks in order to abrogate this issue.

Before we build a planned Itinerary to deal with Depression, the nexus is to understand the Telltale symptoms of Depression:

1. Changed Feelings
2. Lost Interest
3. Not able to take decisions
4. Anxiety and Irritability
5. Fatigue and sleep
6. Appetite and weight
7. Low self esteem and lack of confidence
8. Uncontrollable emotions
9. Looking at Death

One should not forget that like our body, our mind can also suffer from illness. Let's discuss how we can alleviate these symptoms and make this world free from the haze of Depression:

1. Indulge yourself in "Yoga" and Meditation:
Indubitably, Yoga and meditation are the one stop solution to overcome depression. It acts as a "Panacea" for our life. Begin your day fervently by meditating daily for at least 20-25 minutes. Meditation will streamline the path to earn your mojo back that has been lost in the labyrinth. As a beginner, one can also practice "Deep Breathing" (for 10 -15 secs)- a healthy trend today to spend your day gleefully. Deep Breathing helps in improving concentration and pacify malign thoughts. Following deep breathing, get on to some Relaxation exercises for brain and muscles. It should be noted that initially one should practice Yoga under the surveillance of a certified trainer and once you are trained enough, you can easily practice at your home. However, it is always recommended that if the depression is severe, one should approach a good counselor to ease the problem. There is no denying the fact that sometimes it becomes mandatory to depend on prescriptions as advised, but Yoga and meditation would help for survival in the long run. Moreover it would keep you self centered and controlling your emotions to a greater extent. Stop acting like a Back Burner rather become inebriated to this macro nutrient of life(YOGA). This will be a wonderful transformation of you personally, and one would begin to see the world with a viewfinder.

Remember one thing: You have to be a "self-Motivator". Only then, we can get the ball rolling..

2. Surround yourself with positive people and the one's who motivate and bring out the best in you:
Come out of the framework of negative circle that has been desisting you from recognizing your 'self-worth'.  It is a strange paradox, living in 21st century and still people are so inured to catastrophize one's negativity rather than focusing on the positives. One thing is for sure that in this fast paced world and competitive life style, people are really worried of other's success rather than theirs. Indeed it is true. We ought to make sure that we as an individual do not ally in this pothole. It is imperative to change ourselves first, so that we can change the world for the better. Leave no stone unturned and enhance your positive skills. Sharpen the focus towards yourself. Love yourself as much as you love others. Self love is substantial in bringing respite from this condition.

Life is a Yardstick of Success and Failures. Live your life to the fullest and stop brooding over the past. Let's seal the fate of depression by working together as a team and appreciate the patience and efforts of those who are giving their best shot in overcoming depression!
