United Arab Emirates has always presented the world a great deal of investment opportunities. In spite of a downturn in most parts of the world, UAE has remained very popular as a key investment hub for many of the ardent investors. In 2017, UAE stayed on growing and progressing on several fronts, and it was another year of far-fetched achievements. Let's take a look at some of the most expected and thrilling things that can happen to take place in the UAE in 2018-:

1. 2018- The Year of Zayed

UAE 2018 with mark the auspicious occasion and completion of 100 years as the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan will be devoted to the UAE's founding father. All over the year, the locals will be recalling the efforts made by Sheikh Zayed to shape the modern UAE and encourage his values across the entire population.

2. VAT Implementation (Value Added Tax)

Value Added Tax (VAT) will be publicly implemented in the UAE in 2018. Consequently, one can notice a little rise in the cost of living on account of 5 percent tax on goods and services. The basic amenities together with water and electricity are also expected to be covered under the VAT.

3. Completion of Mohammed bin Rashid Library

The $272.3 million Mohammed bin Rashid Library venture situated in Dubai's Al Jaddaf area is most likely to be completed in the New Year.

4. World's longest zipline inauguration

The world's longest zipline 'Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah' will be thrown open to the public in the New Year. This zipline is anticipated to break the existing world record of a 2,200 meters long zipline 'The Monster' in Puerto Rico.

5. Hospitality Industry

UAE's hospitality industry is all set to witness a huge rise on account of availability of the most recent technologies and a dedicated entry of a multitude of investors.

6. Dubai City land Mall

This far-fetched and an innovative mall developed by the same experts behind the Dubai Miracle Garden and Dubai Butterfly Garden is anticipated to be world's first shopping mall, packed with natural beauty wonders. It will be thrown open to public in 2018.

7. Aladdin City
