1. Find/ face facts; figure; fairness: One must avoid wearing either rose - colored glasses, and being unrealistically optimistic, or to proceed with a negative attitude! Rather, a real leader delves deeply, in order to discover and find the actual facts/ conditions, and is willing and capable of facing them! He uses his developed judgment to figure what is needed, and the best way to proceed. He realizes his choice must be a fair one, not merely to a privileged sector or influential group, but rather to the constituents, he represents and must serve, with distinction!
2. Refresh; relevant; reveal; redo: Take the time, and commit to refreshing yourself, by clearing your mind, of the negatives and the way things are, and seeking to discover the best way to proceed, in order to implement policies and actions, which are relevant and sustainable! Use all your experience, expertise, judgment, wisdom, and developed imagination, to help you reveal better options! There are always aspects which need to be redone, and improved, and that can only occur, when a leader is ready, willing and able, to consider fresh ideas!
3. Energize; empathy; examine; excellence: Isn't it the duty and responsibility of a real leader, to do all he can, to energize and motivate his constituents? In order to do so, he must fully examine what's going on, and the options available, to enhance the group. Only when there is a firm commitment to empathy, will constituents conceive, and believe, he cares about them! Everything one does, most focus on providing excellence, relevance and sustainability!
4. Strive; strength; sustainable system: Refuse to settle for what is, or what others may believe is all that can be done! Strive for more, and use your strengths properly, while addressing weaknesses, in order to make the group stronger! True leaders perceive, conceive, create, develop and implement a relevant, well - considered, sustainable system!
5. Head/ heart; healthier: Should someone in leadership, leave his organization healthier and stronger, than he found it, when he began? One must be ready, willing and able to balance his emotional and logical components, in what, I refer to, as a head/ heart equilibrium!
If you want to be a leader, you must be far more than a mere care - taker! Conceive of, develop, introduce, and implement quality, FRESH ideas!
